if it could be sorted at a sensible cost, looks like it has the makings of a decent enough tool

We had contact with a Schaeffer specialist or what have you and he said that is isn't a schaeffer. IT is a botched job, there is some dodge engine that doesn't even link up properly with the drive shafts etc. We have been well and truly had with this one. But we are just trying to identify the digger its self so we know what we actually have because there isn't any manufacture plates on it or anything that could give any information towards what this machine is.
Here have a look at the link.

Reckon Muz's suggestion may not be too far off the mark ..... does not look to have done anything muchIf it's got tracks, wheels, t*ts, or an engine, at some point it's gonna give you trouble!!

Hi, Yes you could be right Muz, yes hydrostatic drive the gearbox or pump is in it, but the engine in it is not married to the pump, it has just been set into place and wants replaced with a compatible unit.
No it has not done any work that I can see, I would love to make it work and give the clever arse i got it from the single digit ! It would or could be a very useful thing, lots of the hydraulic pipes and electrics are Italian !
The forks are just of a fork lift and the brush is for a compact tractor.
Its a shame to see it just sitting here doing nothing, needs an old school Mechanical Engineer on the job !
