Volvo EC27D Hydraulics

Hi All,

Has any one got or had seat time in a volvo ec27d?

Mine has 200hrs showing now, just changed hydraulic filters but the machine is getting worse to operate, not smooth hydraulics, as if oil is pulsing/lumpy, when dipper ram reaches end of stroke it just bangs to a stop.

Basically just not nice to operate & seems to get worse all the time...

Anyone got any thoughts?

Can you give us some history of ownership ?

Machine was bought brand new, had no work done on it , hoses replaced etc.

Anything else that might be helpful?

The dipper ram also makes a loud bang when it is fully extended out, rest of rams just stop smoothly when hitting there stops?

A lot of rams are fitted with cushioning valves to stop this happening . Maybe it is faulty ?.
Back in the old days rams weren't fitted with them , it was down to good operating skills to not bottom out the ram .

Yes possibly it is faulty as it is the only ram that does it, Cheers
