Cute pup, Jack Russell Terrier? Lotsa energy in a small package.

How long are the power poles you are setting with the JCB? It reminds me of setting the steel for my shop with the little JD compact.

Yes, although the energy seems to be recouperating right now. She's Curled up and being a nuscince around the keyboard.

Poles 11meters - 16meters. Jcb treats them like matchsticks.

Hi Rory , It's good to hear that you are enjoying the new job . Nice looking pup , does it come to work with you , or have to sit at home waiting for your return ?

Unfortunatly She Currently has to stay. If I had stayed on the forks the offer was there for her to come in the cab but that would still of been a rigmoral.

In the future (Providing this job lasts) or when this job finishes I will probably have a crack at Hiring out the minidigger. Setting up a transfer this morning to put £100 a week away for a machine fund.

Pup is currently launching a dustpan brush around and chasing after it.... She's also dismantled a ball and a toilet roll in the hall that I need to clean up.... Like me she enjoys making a mess....

Done around 50miles in a backhoe today.... sore on the legs but torquelock helps alot! Another HVD pole has been sorted aswell as a lazyleg...... Got some pictures that show how (Even in the wrong hands) a Backhoe can easily piss over a tracked machine!

Dunno how long this is going to last.... lots of rumors but I'm enjoying it and taking each day as it comes..... Like bert the backstabbing is a problem.... I have 3 paticular thorns that need setting fire to but we shall see...

First Pole up on 3 phase lines today! I also am apparently better on the backhoe than on a 360.... really?

                Some Pictures!

Hopefully shows what forward planning, waiting for a nice day/the right time and a wheeldigger can do.... Annoyingly theres talk of us being traded for some other contractors who can do it faster in april... Which is funny as if we'd started back in november there'd be mud everywhere and chaos on alot of these sites.. whereas today we left with just wheelmarks in grass/tilled land... which will disappear in a few days....

Anyway. Two poles today, about 20miles apart One 3 Phase and My first successful 3 phase erection My Record is 4 poles by just after lunch but that's single phase (4ft gap).

Apparently I'm better at craning on the 3cx... though the extendahoe no doubt helps.... if I get on a singlephase line I may try the stimech on the front but atm, Stick to what one knows.

Must credit my legend of a team mate/ganger/banksman/Lorry driver for putting up with me so far... I hope it's paying off for him, Really appreciate him not being a arsehole to me and just letting me get to grips with it/giving me advice.

Good work! Looks terrifying but sure you'll have a blast when you get into the new piece of kit.
