A well-established and highly successful organisation who design, manufacture and distribute a range of products for into the building & construction sector seek a commercially focused Managing Director to take full responsibility for sales growth and profit delivery.
Job description
The Managing Director will take full P&L responsibility for this manufacturing business. Reporting into the Group Chairman they will develop and execute a profitable growth strategy and have specific responsibilities across:
Development & execution of a profitable growth strategy
Control of all operational aspects including; revenue growth, profit, operations & production, quality, product development, health & safety, financial reporting and compliance across all environmental & legal requirements.
Leadership of the senior management team and a local staff base of approximately 450 people, actively supporting professional and personal development.
Maintaining a thorough understanding of the market, trends and commercial opportunities that the business and wider group could exploit.
Driving operational performance, ensuring the assets are utilised in a cost efficient manner.
Maintain and develop a consistent product development pipeline supported by quality and efficiency throughout the operations
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have substantial experience of operating at board level within the construction / building product sector in the UK. Further to they will have demonstrated the ability to build and develop high performing teams to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
