What training is required for plant hire lorry driver?

Can anyone help with what training and qualifications are the norm for drivers delivering hired plant equipment to customer sites?

The machines will mostly be sub 5t excavators, dumpers and rollers at this stage.

I am okay with the lorry as I already run one and a low loader so have an O license etc.

I'd like to know what training is required and on offer for loading/unloading/securing machines etc. Do drivers usually have qualifications?

Hi I read your message as what tickets do you need as a person that just delivers plant and does not operate. If thats the case I would suggest CSCS touch screen, loader securer ticket and maybe a plant mover ticket. We can do all this under npors. Loader securer ticket requires wheeled,tracked, and drum type plant to be loaded and secured on the trailer/lorry. Plant mover covers safe moving of the plant and is restricted as non operational duties. Cards are 3/5 years depending on TP and experience.
