Hey Ian the first video and third video were pretty interesting and those trees are quite massive you've got there. The west coast of Canada is quite well known for it's logging industry. I've never worked in logging myself but have always found it interesting. Here's something you might find interesting.
Here is how it was done on the west coast though this was filmed in Oregon, U.S.A. it was done the same way on Vancouver Island for many years and some of it is still done this way except the log loaders are hydraulic and easier to operate than the cable ones.
