            Tales from the wild wood

Hey Jim, did you get to see this series on BBC? It was 6 parts of a guy managing 50 acres of woodland - really well done...he was logging by hand and selling to furniture (specialists) manufacturers...plus charcoal..etc

Ok so being the temporary "safety officer" here while Stock is "out to lunch" ,I feel I have to point out the danger of carting round logs without Dogs{not your little four legged one} to prevent the load coming crashing down while tying/untying the load .We don't want you under the logs Jim now do we .

The logs are unloaded by the machine in the pics though so I am safely sitting in a cab!

Thanks for posting the pictures by the way Jim .But what I actually said was, Quote >"I feel I have to point out the danger of carting round logs without Dogs{not your little four legged one} to prevent the load coming crashing down while tying/untying the load".ie, standing beside the load whilst lashing it down to the trailer .
Sorry to sound like Stock ,but it has happened before.

Ah sorry my fault for not reading properly!

Thats a good point! We are looking at getting another trailer and having it more more like a proper wood trailer so we can get more in! I think we will be getting a low loader trailer so we it can shift machinery and carry wood etc
