I was a gravedigger with our local council for 5 years. When i started we had an Ortas tow behind the van thingy. It was a single cylinder deisel engine. THen we Got a JCB 8018 with the gravemaster boom. The Gravemaster boom seems to be only 4 inches longer than the standard boom but once you put a quick hitch on the standard boom the reach is the same! The gravedigging was a good job and i enjoyed it!!

I never dug down into another coffin! I did once dig what was supposed to be a new lair and there was already a coffin in it in an old graveyard!! It was another council cock up but we were told to fill it in and carry on somewhere else. I thought they would have to try and find out who was buried there but they didnt seem to want to know!
