This machine started blowing a 10 amp fuse every time you turned the ignition off. The fuel cut off solenoid checked out ok, so I suspected a short on the wire which energised it, as it passes over the top of the rocker cover, and indeed was zip tied to the breather exit pipe just there by the manufacturer. Sadly .. such an easy fix was not to be, so I set about undoing the loom, especially at junctions and breaks. Luckily its a small machine and easy to work on

Where the loom is fixed or passes over engine mounts, or through bulkheads is almost always where the damage gets done as can be seen here by the shiny bit on the engine mount where the loom was rubbing

so the vibration had worn through the outer case and chaffed a wire

Not the one I was after though, this one went to the pull hold coil on the starter, so that cant be it ? .. not unless the two are somehow connected back at the ignition switch or something ? .. guess I'll have to look further ......
