I have had two Inverters, the first one was a lovely little unknown brand from Chi-Asia and worked like a dream until it stopped ,it had a Hi start function and digital display and the TIG hand piece included .My current one has more basic features but does the job http://www.cigweld.com/south-pacific...dID=528&brand=
Stock might say the duty cycle is too low but in reality they seem to be very hot output welders and most general work can be welded in the lower 80 -100 amp range ,it has never cut out once on any amps setting ...
You still need a mig one day though ,and a must have is an good auto darkening helmet to protect you eyes ......
Wazz I have both but if I want to weld something that I need to be strong then it will be a 7018 and burn the beggar in. those low hydrogen rods will test your welding plant..........
Now having said that I've also bought a diesel plant.........................
