Winget 4B2000 Dumper Failing Gearbox Advice wanted on overhaul or swap out

Hi all advice please.

I have been offered an early 80's Winget 4B2000 electric start dumper which has a major issue. The Newage 40M2S gearbox is failing. Selection of any gear is a major effort. Ticking over it sounds O/K but when moving the box continually groans and whines and this sounds serious. I have found the Newage gearbox Service Manual so recognise that is not the hardest item to strip but at what cost to fix? Or does anone know of a functional used unit?

Sounds like a world of hurt unless you can find a second machine as a donor .. but its likely it will have a similar problem

Depending how handy you are isnt really the issue I'm afraid .. its getting the parts!
